Dual Purpose

Slideshow + Overflow in One

Before the service starts, the screen plays the tribute slideshow — family photos set to gentle music, honouring the life of the deceased. Once the service begins, it switches to a live camera feed so every guest can follow along — even those standing outside.

  • Before the service: Tribute slideshow plays on loop as guests arrive and take their seats
  • During the service: Live camera feed for overflow viewing — prayers, eulogies, hymns, everything
  • After the service: Slideshow plays again during the procession or while guests gather outside
  • You keep the MP4: The tribute slideshow is yours to keep, share, and replay whenever you like

How We Create Your Tribute Slideshow

Send us the photos and tell us the songs — we handle everything else. Here's the step-by-step process from start to screen.

Creating a tribute slideshow for a funeral screen
1

Send Us Photos

WhatsApp, email, or Google Drive — send us as many photos as you like. We accept any format: phone photos, scanned prints, or digital.

2

Choose Your Music

Suggest 1–3 songs that meant something to the family. We'll select gentle, fitting music and time the slideshow to match the mood and tempo.

3

We Build It

Photos are colour-corrected, arranged chronologically, and assembled with smooth transitions, a title card, and background music into a polished slideshow.

4

Review & Deliver

We send a preview for family approval. Once confirmed, the final MP4 is loaded onto the screens and a digital copy is sent to you to keep.

What Goes Into Your Slideshow — In Detail

Unlimited Photos
Add as many photos as you want — baby photos, school days, wedding, holidays, family gatherings. We arrange them into a natural timeline that tells the story of a life well lived.
Photo Enhancement
Every photo is colour-corrected for consistent brightness and tone. Old scanned photos are cleaned, sharpened, and enhanced so they look great on a big screen.
Smooth Transitions
Gentle crossfades and pan-and-zoom (Ken Burns) effects keep the slideshow flowing naturally. Each photo is on screen long enough to be appreciated — typically 5–8 seconds.
Background Music
Family can suggest favourite songs or hymns. We integrate them with smooth volume ducking, fade-ins, and fade-outs — so the music enhances without overpowering the moment.
Title Card & Captions
An elegant opening title with the loved one's name, dates, and an optional scripture verse or quote. Photo captions can be added on request (e.g. "Wedding Day, 1985").
Video Clips (Tribute Video+)
Dual Screen and LED bundles include video clip integration — family videos, voice notes, and clips woven into the tribute alongside photos for a cinematic result.

Indoor vs Outdoor — Which Screen Do I Need?

Indoor Service (Church, Chapel, Hall)

A standard HD TV on a tripod stand is perfect. Excellent picture quality, quiet, and compact. One screen at the front for the slideshow, or two screens — one inside, one in the foyer — for overflow.

Outdoor Service (Marquee, Open Field, Cemetery)

Standard TVs are not bright enough for sunlight — you need an LED display. At 5,000+ nits, LED screens are fully visible in direct daylight. They're weatherproof and built for outdoor events.

How Overflow Viewing Works

When the venue is full, a screen outside lets overflow guests follow every moment of the service — prayers, eulogies, hymns, everything. Here's the technical setup.

Overflow viewing screen outside a funeral venue

Camera Inside the Venue

A compact HD camera is positioned at the back or side of the venue — capturing the podium, speakers, and choir without obstructing anyone's view.

  • Full HD 1080p camera
  • Wide-angle lens captures the full stage
  • Positioned discreetly — no disruption
  • Audio captured from venue sound system

Wireless Signal Transmission

The camera feed is sent wirelessly to the outdoor screen using a professional HDMI transmitter — no cables running through doorways or across paths.

  • Wireless HDMI transmitter (30m range)
  • Zero-latency — real-time, no delay
  • Wired Cat6 extender for longer distances
  • No Wi-Fi or internet required

Audio for Overflow Guests

A portable speaker is placed next to the outdoor screen so overflow guests can clearly hear every word — not just see the picture.

  • Portable powered speaker (battery or mains)
  • Audio from the venue sound system
  • Clear speech — eulogies, prayers, hymns
  • Volume adjusted for outdoor environment

Typical Venue Setups in South Africa

Church / Chapel
One screen at the front near the podium for the tribute slideshow. For overflow: a second screen in the foyer or outside under an awning — connected wirelessly to the camera inside.
Community Hall
Two screens inside — one left, one right — for large halls where not everyone has a clear view. Or one inside and one at the entrance for late arrivals and overflow.
Home Service / Vigil
A single screen in the living room or under a gazebo — playing the tribute slideshow during the night vigil or home service, looping gently as family gathers.
Outdoor / Marquee Tent
For outdoor services in full sunlight, an LED display is essential — standard TVs wash out in daylight. The LED screen is bright enough to see clearly from 50+ metres, even at midday.
