Some lives are woven together by family, by love, and by memories that remain long after they have departed. Today, we remember two beloved souls, Pakiso Daddy Mile and his sister, Katleho Motshidisi Mile, whose lives, though uniquely their own, were forever connected by the bond of brother and sister.
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Mile family announces the passing of Pakiso Daddy Mile and Katleho Motshidisi Mile, who were called to their eternal home on 15 August 2026.
Though they each walked their own path, they shared a love for family and a deep passion for sport. Their lives were filled with dreams, ambitions, relationships and memories that will forever remain a treasured part of the family’s story.
REMEMBERING PAKISO DADDY MILE
Pakiso Daddy Mile, lovingly known as Daddy, was born on 6 February 1997 to Tieho Lucia Mile and Mohlouoa Mile.
He began his schooling at Arcon Park Primary School before continuing his high school education at Riverside High School, where he matriculated.
Daddy’s passion for sport, particularly soccer, was evident from a young age. He was a passionate soccer player, and sport became an important part of his life and identity.
He went on to further his studies at Boston College, where he graduated with a qualification in Sports Management. His desire to grow and develop himself did not end there. He recently obtained a second qualification in Marketing and Communications, demonstrating his determination to build a future for himself and those he loved.
Beyond his academic achievements and passion for sport, Daddy was a beloved son, brother, father, family member and friend. His greatest blessing was his beautiful daughter, Bohlale Mile, who will forever carry his love and memory with her.
Daddy leaves behind his parents, his daughter Bohlale, his three siblings, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom will carry treasured memories of him in their hearts.
REMEMBERING KATLEHO MOTSHIDISI MILE
Katleho Motshidisi Mile, lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her, was born on 18 February 2005 in Vereeniging, to Sizakele Mile and Mohlouoa Mile.
She began her education at Milton Primary School and went on to attend Langenhoven High School, where she completed and obtained her Senior Certificate.
Katleho was a young woman with dreams, ambition and a bright future ahead of her. At the time of her passing, she was in her second year of a degree in Sports Management at ETA in Centurion, continuing her own journey in a field closely connected to her love for sport.
She was a dedicated and passionate netball player and also had a love for soccer. Like her brother Daddy, sport was more than an interest to Katleho; it formed part of who she was and the dreams she was building for her future.
In 2025, Katleho received one of life’s greatest blessings when she became a mother to her beautiful baby girl, Lereko. Her daughter will forever be a living testament to Katleho’s love and the life she brought into this world.
Katleho leaves behind her parents, her daughter Lereko, her two brothers, her Nanana, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
TWO LIVES, ONE UNBREAKABLE BOND
Pakiso and Katleho were more than brother and sister. They were part of the same family story, connected by shared memories, shared experiences and a love that cannot be undone by death.
Their paths were different. Daddy was further along in his journey, building his career, pursuing his education and raising his daughter. Katleho was just beginning to discover the fullness of her own potential, pursuing her studies, nurturing her passion for sport and embracing motherhood.
Yet, in so many ways, their lives reflected one another.
Both found joy and purpose in sport. Both pursued Sports Management. Both were deeply connected to their family. Both became parents and leaves behind daughters who will grow up carrying their names, their memories and their love.
And, in a heartbreaking and profound twist of fate, their earthly journeys came to an end on the same day, 15 August 2026.
Today, as we prepare to lay them to rest together, we are reminded that while we cannot understand why their journeys had to end at the same time, we can find comfort in knowing that the bond they shared in life will be honoured in their final resting place.
A brother and sister in life, and together in their final journey.
Their absence will be deeply felt in every family gathering, every celebration, every conversation and every moment when their presence would once have brought joy.
But their lives will not be defined by the manner in which they left us. They will be remembered for the lives they lived, the people they loved, the dreams they pursued, the children they blessed us with, and the memories they created.
May the love that surrounded them in life continue to surround their children and family.
May Bohlale and Lereko grow up knowing the beautiful people their parents were, the dreams they carried, and the love they gave.
And may the family find comfort in the knowledge that Pakiso Daddy Mile and Katleho Motshidisi Mile will forever remain together in the hearts of those who loved them.
