Heartfelt messages shared by family and friends.
Aiii Oompie…hoe sê mens koebaai. My hart voel swaar vandag…weet jy was geliefd.
The Love You Carry
Four brothers, grown, with lives of your own,
Yet somewhere inside, you are still boys at home.
Where two familiar voices made the world feel right,
Where love tucked you in and watched over the night.
Now both your parents have journeyed above,
Leaving you memories, heartache, and love.
Two precious lives, whose stories you share,
Whose presence still lingers in the places they were.
Perhaps in the hush of a South African dawn,
You'll feel them beside you, though they have gone.
In golden sunlight, in a breeze through the trees,
In the quiet remembrance that comes unexpectedly.
You'll find them in stories retold with a smile,
In family expressions you've carried for miles.
In values they planted, in kindness you show,
In the parts of yourselves that they helped you grow.
And brothers, be gentle with hearts that may ache,
There is no right way, no timetable to take.
Some days bring laughter, some nights bring tears,
Grief has its own way of measuring years.
Lean on each other, as brothers can do,
For you share more than memories; you share their love, too.
Four separate journeys, yet one family thread,
Woven by all the words and the love that they spread.
And though you can no longer reach for their hands,
Or hear their voices as only you can,
The love they gave you has not reached its end;
It lives in each brother, in family and friends.
So when you look back, let gratitude rise,
For the years you were cherished, the love in their eyes.
And when you look forward, wherever you roam,
May the love of your parents still lead you home.
For parents may leave this earthly shore,
But the love of a lifetime leaves something more.
And wherever life's winding roads may lead you,
A part of their love will always walk with you.
Lay a flower or light a candle in their honour
Family and friends are invited to share their memories, prayers, and messages of support.
